E mployment Solutions is a non-profit organization which assists people with significant employment barriers to become self-sufficient, and provides companies with effective ways to meet the needs of their businesses.

Employment barriers can take many forms: physical or mental disability, lack of education and skills, poor work history or dependency upon public assistance. By responding directly to the needs of individuals, Employment Solutions enables people to become productive, contributing citizens in the community.

Central Kentucky's business community benefits in many ways by utilizing the services and products of Employment Solutions' different divisions.

Employment Solutions is a private, non-profit corporation whose policies and goals are determined by a Board of Directors. This volunteer board is an active cross-section of the community.

Prior to 1997, Employment Solutions was known as Metro Industries. The new name was selected to better reflect the organization's ultimate goal; which is to assist anyone who has a significant employment barrier finding a job. Whether one's difficulty in entering the workforce is because of a disability, homelessness, substance abuse, industrial injury, welfare dependency, or other issue, Employment Solutions has a solution.

Employment Solutions and its divisions believe in the value of work. We know that work promotes independence and allows people to contribute to the economic vitality of our community. We also believe that practically every working-age adult has both the desire and ability to work in a meaningful capacity.
